1. Define Fort Riley coverage before expanding pages
Fort Riley is a census-designated place in Kansas, with recorded relationships to Geary County and Riley County. That does not mean a firm should publish a page for every nearby place or imply an office, attorney, or jurisdiction that it does not have. Geographic wording should match the firm’s actual service area and legal authority. A Fort Riley page can be useful when it clearly explains whom the firm serves, which practice areas apply, and how a visitor should contact the firm. It becomes risky when it blurs Fort Riley, the two counties, broader Kansas coverage, and any metropolitan area.
Recommended approach
Start with a geographic coverage review. Separate Fort Riley, Geary County, Riley County, Kansas, and any other locations the firm serves. For each practice area, decide whether the page should target Fort Riley specifically, a county relationship, or a broader state-level audience. Keep unsupported office and proximity language out of the copy.
