1. Start with the site and data you need to protect
Hosting decisions should begin with an inventory, not a server label. Identify the website, domain registrar, DNS provider, SSL arrangement, email records, databases, forms, media, analytics and any other service that depends on the current host. Bosseo’s public Dedicated Hosting page describes migration of files, databases, DNS, SSL and email records, but your firm still needs to confirm which of those items exist in your environment and how they will be handled. El Dorado is a municipality in Butler County; that geographic relationship should be reflected accurately in the firm’s site and service areas, but it does not determine your hosting requirements. Your actual website structure does.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to review a written inventory of your current environment. Request a distinction between items Bosseo will migrate, items your firm or another vendor must approve, and items that are outside the proposed scope. Do not approve a move until ownership, access and dependencies are recorded.
