1. Set the geographic question before judging a channel
Pleasant Hill and Polk County are different geographic scopes. A firm may serve people in Pleasant Hill, elsewhere in Polk County, or across a wider Iowa market. Population data identifies Pleasant Hill as a municipality and records its relationship to Polk County; it does not show how many people need legal services, how many search for a lawyer, or how many inquiries a channel will produce. Attribution therefore needs a location field or review convention that your firm can interpret consistently. A lead associated with a Pleasant Hill landing page is not automatically a Pleasant Hill resident, and a person living in Pleasant Hill may reach a page framed around a broader service area.
Recommended approach
Decide which geographic distinctions matter to your intake and reporting. At minimum, review whether your team needs to separate Pleasant Hill, Polk County and broader Iowa inquiries. Ask Bosseo how those distinctions would appear in the records you review, without treating the Census population as a forecast.
