1. Define the Le Mars footprint before choosing page volume
Bosseo says firms can choose the whole state or only selected counties. For a firm centered in Le Mars, the first decision is therefore geographic eligibility: is the firm accepting matters in Le Mars only, throughout Plymouth County, or across a wider Iowa footprint? The Census record identifies Le Mars as a municipality and places it in Plymouth County. It does not identify the firm’s service area or prove that every city in the county is appropriate for a page. A larger footprint may create more combinations, but more pages are not automatically more useful.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area policy to the consultation. Separate places where the firm accepts clients from places where it merely receives inquiries. Ask Bosseo to show how a Le Mars-and-Plymouth-County scope would differ from a statewide scope, what legal services would be included, and how expansion would be reviewed. Do not select territory from population alone.
