Use Clinton’s geography to define the intake boundary
Your firm may serve people in Clinton, elsewhere in Clinton County, or a wider Iowa area. Those are different service boundaries and should not be treated as interchangeable. Clinton city is a municipality within Clinton County; the population estimate applies to the city, not automatically to every household, individual, or potential client in the county. Intake Coach does not turn that population figure into a forecast. Instead, use your actual call records to identify which geographic details matter during qualification: location, jurisdiction, deadlines, and whether the matter fits the firm’s service area.
Recommended approach
Before evaluating coaching, write down the geographic questions your team must answer on an intake call. Review whether callers are asked where the matter arose, where a court or agency is involved, and how the firm handles calls outside its defined boundary. Keep Clinton, Clinton County, and the broader Iowa service area as separate categories in your review.
