1. Define what “local” means before reading the board
A firm may describe its market as Asbury, Dubuque County, Iowa or a wider service area. Those are not interchangeable. The Census record identifies Asbury city and its relationship to Dubuque County, but it does not show where prospective clients search or retain counsel. The dashboard’s value depends on agreeing which service-and-city targets should be tracked and how a location is assigned to a lead. Otherwise, a countywide inquiry can be mistaken for an Asbury result, or an Asbury contact can be hidden inside a broader Iowa total.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to document the geographic definition for each tracked target, the rules used for lead location, and how ambiguous contacts are handled. Use the consultation to decide whether Asbury should be separated from Dubuque County and any broader Iowa coverage in reporting.
