Set the geographic boundary before reviewing ROI
A dashboard is only useful when everyone agrees what a location means. Algona is a municipality in Kossuth County; the Census record does not establish a metropolitan area, a service radius or a market opportunity. Your firm may serve people in Algona, elsewhere in Kossuth County or beyond Iowa, but those are different geographic questions. A review should therefore ask whether location is recorded from the source of a contact, the page that generated the contact, the matter address or another defined field. It should also ask whether Algona can be viewed without quietly combining it with countywide or statewide activity.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to demonstrate the geographic definitions used in the dashboard and to identify which fields are measured, which are entered by your team and which require another service or system. Do not treat the city’s population as a forecast. Use it only to make the boundary explicit before you compare activity.
