1. Define the geography before reviewing the numbers
The Census record identifies Valparaiso city as a municipality in Porter County. A city, a county, Indiana as a whole, a household and an individual are not interchangeable reporting units. For a Valparaiso law firm, that distinction matters when a dashboard presents rankings, calls, leads or city data. A city label should not silently become a Porter County claim, and a county result should not be treated as proof that a particular Valparaiso resident contacted the firm. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page says it can show city data alongside case-type trends. During evaluation, ask which geographic labels are attached to each measure and whether the view can distinguish a target location from a caller’s actual location.
Recommended approach
Agree on the geographic definitions before judging performance. Review Valparaiso city, Porter County and any broader Indiana targets as separate categories. Treat the Census population estimate as context for the municipality only; do not use it as a proxy for legal demand or expected return.
