1. Define the missed-call boundary before you judge the product
Bosseo’s public AI Answering page describes a team-first arrangement: calls go to your people first, and the AI steps in when nobody answers within 20 seconds. It also describes coverage for nights, weekends, holidays, and overflow. That makes the first Tell City decision operational rather than demographic. Do you want unanswered calls to continue to voicemail, or should a caller receive a guided intake path when your team is unavailable? The Tell City population estimate does not answer that question. Your own call records, office hours, forwarding rules, and current voicemail process do.
Recommended approach
Review two to four weeks of actual phone records, if available, and separate unanswered calls by reason: outside office hours, busy lines, lunch or meeting coverage, accidental misses, current clients, existing opposing parties, vendors, and possible new matters. Use the review to define when AI Answering may answer and when your staff should remain the only first point of contact.
