1. Start with the South Bend intake boundary
A firm serving South Bend may define its service area by city, by St. Joseph County, by Indiana, or by a combination of those areas. Those are different geographic scopes. Automation should not silently treat a South Bend city inquiry as equivalent to a countywide or statewide matter. The first review should identify the locations your firm actually serves and whether location is a qualification question, a routing rule, a reporting field or simply context for the human team. The Census record establishes South Bend’s municipal and county relationship; it does not establish how many people need legal help or how many inquiries your firm receives.
Recommended approach
Document the geographic questions your intake team asks, the answers that require attorney review and the destinations for inquiries outside the firm’s stated service area. Keep geographic scope explicit in your intake fields and reports. Ask Bosseo to show how those fields would be logged, tagged and routed in the systems your firm already uses.
