Define the geography before you judge the profile
Notre Dame is a CDP, not a synonym for St. Joseph County, Indiana or every community near the University of Notre Dame. The Census records the CDP’s relationship to St. Joseph County and estimates 6,890 residents for the 2020–2024 ACS period. That is useful for naming the place accurately, but it cannot tell you how many people seek legal help, where your clients live or how many reviews your firm should receive. A reputation review should therefore begin with the firm’s actual service area. A Notre Dame-focused firm may need one approach; a firm serving countywide matters or clients throughout Indiana may need another. Review profiles, request language, location references and reporting should follow that decision rather than treating one place name as the whole market.
Recommended approach
Write down the geographic scope you want to evaluate: Notre Dame, St. Joseph County, Indiana or another clearly defined area. Then compare review visibility and qualified inquiries within that scope. Do not use the CDP population as a demand forecast.
