1. Set the geographic boundary before judging a source
The Census record identifies Indianapolis city (balance) and its relationship to Marion County. A firm may serve that city, the county, or a wider Indiana market, but those are not interchangeable reporting areas. A city landing page, county page, referral relationship and statewide campaign can each represent a different business decision. Population is eligibility evidence only; it does not establish search demand, competition, leads, revenue or legal need. Bosseo’s public Lead Attribution page describes channel, referrer, landing page, device and session detail for each journey. That makes geographic scope a field to review alongside the source, rather than a substitute for source evidence.
Recommended approach
Decide whether your reporting should distinguish Indianapolis from Marion County and from the rest of Indiana. Then ask to see how landing pages, referral sources and case outcomes are represented in one lead record. Do not use the city’s population to forecast inquiries or infer that your firm needs more staff or a particular language capability.
