1. Start with Granger’s actual geographic boundary
Granger is recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau as a census-designated place in St. Joseph County, Indiana. Its 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate is 30,321, with a margin of error of 575. That is geographic and population context only. It does not establish legal demand, search volume, competition, call volume, language preference, staffing requirements or likely case intake. For attribution, the important decision is therefore not to treat the population figure as a forecast. Instead, decide how your firm identifies service areas in its own records and how it distinguishes a Granger inquiry from an inquiry elsewhere in St. Joseph County or Indiana.
Recommended approach
Ask whether the attribution view can preserve the geographic information your firm legitimately collects and uses for intake review. Define the geographic categories you actually need before judging channel performance. Do not create a Granger-specific budget or service claim solely because the CDP has a recorded population estimate.
