1. Put Chesterton geography inside the measurement question
The Census record identifies Chesterton as a municipality in Porter County. It does not establish how many people search for a lawyer, which practice areas they need, how many firms compete for them or how much business a campaign could produce. Your dashboard review should therefore begin with geography as a definition problem. Decide whether a report should distinguish Chesterton from the rest of Porter County, and whether “location” means the searcher’s location, the page being viewed or the service area selected in an inquiry. Those are different fields and should not be blended into one local result.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how city and county labels would be interpreted in your reporting. Use Chesterton and Porter County as geographic categories to review—not as forecasts. If your firm serves additional Indiana areas, define those separately so a county-level contact is not presented as a Chesterton result without a clear basis.
