1. Set the geographic boundary before reading the numbers
The dashboard page describes rankings and lead reporting by service, city and case type. For a Cedar Lake firm, that makes geographic definitions important: Cedar Lake is a municipality in Lake County, not a synonym for the county, the wider Indiana market or a metropolitan area. The Census population estimate describes the town only. It does not establish search volume, competition, calls, cases or revenue. Before reviewing a report, ask whether a “Cedar Lake” result means a search target, a caller’s stated location, a landing-page location, or another field.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how Cedar Lake, Lake County and any broader geographic targets are represented separately. Document which geography applies to rankings, calls, forms, intakes and revenue-related reporting. Do not treat the town’s population as a forecast. Use the consultation to decide which locations and practice areas your firm actually wants to measure.
