Set the service area around the clients you can serve
Washington is a city in Tazewell County. That relationship matters when you define an LSA service area, but it does not automatically determine how far your firm should accept matters. A county-wide setting, a Washington-focused setting, and a broader Illinois footprint represent different operational choices. The right scope depends on your practice, consultation capacity, court or client requirements, and willingness to handle inquiries from outside the city. Bosseo’s public LSA page describes category and geography targeting as part of its program. It also says budgets and targeting can be adjusted when a firm’s capacity changes.
Recommended approach
Begin with a written service-area policy: locations you want, locations you do not want, and the circumstances in which an inquiry should be referred or declined. Review whether Washington and Tazewell County should be treated as one coverage area or as separate tests. Do not expand simply because a larger map appears attractive.
