1. Start with the website you actually need to protect
A hosting decision begins with an inventory, not a server label. Bosseo’s public hosting description says its service includes dedicated server resources, managed security and SSL, daily backups, 24/7 monitoring, migration support and speed engineering. Your firm should first identify the site’s platform, database, media library, forms, redirects, DNS records and email dependencies. A Volo-focused practice may serve people across Lake County or elsewhere in Illinois, but the municipality’s population estimate does not tell you how many prospective clients will visit the site. It does tell you that the local page should be treated as one defined geographic asset within a broader site structure.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to document what will be moved, what will remain with another provider and how each dependency will be tested before approval. Do not accept a generic hosting recommendation without a site-specific inventory.
