Does Steger’s population prove that Local Service Ads will generate leads?+
No. The 2020–2024 ACS 5-year estimate records 9,418 residents with a margin of error of 46. That is population context only. It does not prove search demand, competition, legal need, leads, cases or revenue.
Should a firm target Steger, Cook County and Will County together?+
There is no universal answer. Steger is recorded in relation to both Cook County and Will County, but the firm should choose coverage based on the jurisdictions and locations it actually serves. Review the areas separately if combining them would hide meaningful differences in lead quality or capacity.
How are Local Service Ads different from regular pay-per-click ads?+
Bosseo’s public description distinguishes them by placement and billing: Local Service Ads are described as appearing above regular ads and the map, with payment per lead rather than per click. Actual availability, placement and billing should be confirmed under Google’s current requirements.
What does Google Screened mean for a law firm?+
Bosseo describes a process involving license verification, insurance documentation and background checks. The firm should confirm the requirements that apply to it and should not treat screening assistance as a promise of approval or ranking.
What counts as a junk lead?+
Bosseo’s public page gives examples including solicitors, wrong numbers, spam, out-of-area inquiries and matters outside the selected practice area. Your firm should agree on its own review labels and retain the facts supporting any dispute. A dispute does not automatically guarantee a credit.
What should we measure after inquiries arrive?+
Track the source, location, practice category, contact status, consultation status, signed-matter status and dispute status. Compare qualified inquiries and signed matters with spend, rather than relying only on impressions, position or raw lead counts.
