1. Define what “ROI” means before you review a dashboard
Bosseo describes the ROI Dashboard as a live view of rankings, calls, leads and matters, with leads and matters by case type tied to real revenue. Its public page also describes live keyword rankings, Top 3 and Top 10 counts, SERP features, AI-engine citations, transcribed calls, lead classifications, case-type tags, forms and intake activity, source attribution, review tracking and trends over time. Those labels only help if your firm agrees on the definitions behind them. A Potential New Client is not the same as a retained client. A call is not automatically a qualified matter. A ranking is not revenue. A River Grove firm should decide whether “ROI” means marketing cost per inquiry, cost per qualified opportunity, cost per signed matter, collected revenue, or another measure. It should also decide which geographic labels matter: River Grove, other Cook County locations, Illinois-wide visibility or another service area. The Census geography establishes River Grove’s relationship to Cook County, but it does not determine where your clients come from.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to walk through every dashboard label your partners will use. Write down inclusion and exclusion rules for calls, forms, video intakes, potential clients, current clients, spam, matters, retainers and revenue. Keep River Grove and broader Cook County activity distinguishable rather than treating the municipality’s population as a demand forecast.
