1. Start with the geographic decision, not the population estimate
The Census record identifies Park City city as a municipality in Lake County. Its 7,827-person estimate describes the city, not all Lake County households or every person who may seek counsel in the area. It also does not establish how many people search for legal information, how many firms compete for that attention, or how many inquiries a news page could produce. That distinction matters when deciding whether Legal News should speak only to Park City, to Lake County, to Illinois, or to a wider service area your firm can actually handle. Bosseo’s public Legal News description says stories are matched to a firm’s practice areas and state, and that pages are published on the firm’s own website after approval. A Park City firm should therefore define geographic language before approving coverage. The page should not imply that a statewide development is a Park City event, and it should not use Lake County as a substitute for the city unless the facts support that relationship.
Recommended approach
Write down the geographic scope for each practice area: Park City only, Lake County, Illinois, or another area your firm serves. Ask Bosseo to show how that scope would appear in proposed news pages, titles, calls to action, and internal links. Use the Census fact as location context, not as a demand forecast.
