1. Define what “Niles” means in the dashboard
A location label can describe a municipality, a county relationship, a service area or a page target. Those are not interchangeable. The Census record identifies Niles as a municipality in Cook County, Illinois. It does not show which parts of Cook County your firm serves, which matters originate in Niles, or whether a searcher is physically located there. Before relying on a city or case-type view, ask whether the dashboard distinguishes the target location from the broader county and from other places your firm serves.
Recommended approach
Use a written geographic definition for every report view. Decide whether “Niles” means the municipality, a wider Cook County service area or a separately agreed set of locations. During a Bosseo consultation, ask how location labels are represented, what evidence supports them and how a lead’s location is determined. Do not treat the Niles population estimate as a demand projection.
