1. Set the geographic boundary before reviewing ROI
The dashboard’s geographic questions should match the firm’s service area. LaSalle city and LaSalle County are not interchangeable reporting units. A firm may want to distinguish calls associated with LaSalle city from activity elsewhere in LaSalle County, while another firm may serve a broader Illinois territory. The consultation should identify which locations are meaningful to the practice and how those locations will appear in reporting. The Census record identifies LaSalle as a municipality in LaSalle County and reports a 2020–2024 ACS 5-year population estimate of 9,498. That is geographic context, not proof that any practice area has demand.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how city, county and broader Illinois geography would be represented before accepting a reporting structure. Decide which geographic labels belong in rankings, lead attribution, case reviews and partner reports. Do not treat the LaSalle population estimate as a forecast of inquiries or retained matters.
