1. Define what “ROI” means before reviewing a tile
A dashboard can display many measures without resolving what your firm considers a successful matter. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard description includes leads and matters by case type, retainers and revenue signals, and source attribution. Your firm should decide whether the primary review is based on qualified inquiries, signed matters, collected fees, or another internal measure. Keep those stages separate. A Potential New Client is not the same as a signed client, and a call is not automatically a case. For a Granite City practice, document whether “Granite City” means the municipality itself, a service area that includes other Madison County communities, or a broader Illinois geography. Do not combine those scopes in one label.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to demonstrate how each stage is defined and where your firm’s own financial or matter data would enter the discussion. Approve the dashboard only when partners can tell the difference between activity, qualified opportunity, matter, and revenue.
