1. Start with the firm’s actual Glen Ellyn service area
A location page can be misleading if it treats Glen Ellyn, DuPage County, the Chicago metropolitan area and Illinois as interchangeable. They are not the same geographic descriptions. Your firm should decide which places it actually serves, which courts or communities are relevant to its practice, and where a page would add useful information rather than repeat a city name. The Census record identifies Glen Ellyn as a municipality in DuPage County; it does not establish that residents need a particular legal service or that a firm serves every person there.
Recommended approach
Review each proposed page for an accurate geographic relationship. Use Glen Ellyn where the page genuinely addresses that community, DuPage County where the service area supports that description, and Illinois only when the practice and information are statewide. Do not expand coverage solely because a larger area appears commercially attractive.
