Start with the profile clients actually compare
A prospective client evaluating a Freeport law firm may inspect the firm’s Google Business Profile before calling. Bosseo’s public Reputation & Reviews page positions review count, rating and responses as visible parts of that decision. Those elements are not interchangeable: a high rating with limited review history creates a different impression from a similar rating supported by a longer, recent record. The page also centers the service on Google Business Profile rather than claiming that every directory has equal importance. For your firm, the first review should be an inventory of the profile, practice-area presentation, review history and response pattern. Freeport’s population estimate does not tell you how many people search for a lawyer or how many are qualified to hire one.
Recommended approach
Document the current Google profile, including rating, review count, recency, unanswered reviews and any reviews that raise confidentiality or professionalism concerns. Compare the profile with the actual geographic service area you state to clients; do not treat Stephenson County or the city boundary as proof of a market gap. Set a measurement question before implementation: are you trying to improve consistency, make review requests easier, respond more reliably, or connect reputation activity to qualified inquiries?
