1. Build the intake around the matters you actually review
Bosseo’s public Video Intake description says the survey is built around a firm’s practice areas and that each practice area can have its own question path. It also describes qualification by case type, urgency and fit. That makes the first decision substantive rather than geographic: which Fox Lake inquiries should receive a deeper review, and which facts must be collected before a staff member responds? The Fox Lake population estimate—11,131 for the 2020–2024 ACS five-year period, with a margin of error of 492—does not establish legal demand, lead volume or staffing requirements. Use the location as a service boundary, not as a reason to invent intake assumptions.
Recommended approach
List the practice areas the firm actually accepts in Fox Lake, Lake County and McHenry County. For each, identify the minimum facts needed to decide whether an inquiry merits review. Keep questions limited to that decision; do not use population data to determine how many inquiries the flow should produce.
