1. Start with the geographic definition, not a headline number
Your firm may describe its market as Country Club Hills, Cook County, the Chicago metropolitan area, or a broader Illinois service area. Those are not interchangeable geographic units. The Census identifies Country Club Hills as a municipality in Cook County and records a 2020–2024 ACS 5-year population estimate of 16,324. The estimate is useful for defining the place under review, but it does not establish how many people search for legal help, how many cases exist or how many clients a marketing channel will produce. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page says its reporting can show keyword rankings, including service-and-city targets, alongside calls, leads and case-type information. Ask how your firm’s chosen geography would be represented before accepting any roll-up as a market conclusion.
Recommended approach
Write down the exact locations and practice areas you want to evaluate. During the consultation, ask whether a Country Club Hills view can be distinguished from Cook County, metropolitan-area or statewide reporting, and decide which geographic labels belong in partner-level reports.
