1. Define what “ROI” means before reviewing a dashboard
Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page describes rankings, calls, leads, case-type classifications and revenue-related reporting in one view. Those terms can mean different things inside a law firm. A marketing lead may be a contact; an intake-qualified matter may be something narrower; a signed engagement is narrower still. Before evaluating the product, list the events your firm already records and the point at which a matter becomes financially meaningful. Do not use Carpentersville’s population estimate as a substitute for any of those definitions. The Census record establishes the municipality and its Kane County relationship, but it does not establish how many people search for legal services or become clients.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to map each dashboard label to your internal vocabulary. Decide whether the primary decision metric is a potential new client, a qualified consultation, a signed engagement, collected fees or another firm-defined event. Require the proposed definition in writing before comparing dashboard totals with case-management or accounting records.
