1. Set a service area that reflects your actual intake capacity
Bartlett’s recorded county relationships span Cook County, DuPage County and Kane County. That relationship matters because a service-area decision can reach beyond the village itself, while your firm may not want every inquiry from every part of those counties. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads page says its program includes practice-area categories and service areas. The practical question is therefore narrower than “Can we advertise in Bartlett?” It is “Which locations may produce matters we can competently and profitably evaluate?” The Bartlett population estimate gives scale for the municipality, but it cannot tell you how many people search for a lawyer or how many qualified inquiries an LSA profile would produce.
Recommended approach
Define Bartlett separately from any broader Cook, DuPage or Kane County coverage. List the locations your firm serves, the locations it does not serve, and any travel or venue limits that should affect targeting. Ask Bosseo to review whether the proposed service area matches those boundaries rather than using county names as a substitute for an intake policy.
