1. Set the geographic boundary before reading the numbers
A dashboard can only answer a location question if the location is defined first. Rathdrum city is a municipality in Kootenai County; those are not interchangeable geographic labels. A firm may want to distinguish Rathdrum from other Kootenai County communities, Idaho-wide visibility, or a broader service area. Do not treat the city’s population estimate as a forecast of cases or marketing return. Instead, decide which city, county, state or service-area labels belong in each report and which should remain separate. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page describes city data, service-and-city keyword targets and questions about which cities produce calls. That makes geographic naming a practical acceptance criterion, not a decorative filter.
Recommended approach
Bring a written geographic definition to the consultation. Ask to see how Rathdrum targets would be separated from Kootenai County and Idaho-wide measures, and how a lead’s location would be recorded without turning population data into a demand claim.
