Start with the geographic question your numbers must answer
Fruitland is a municipality in Payette County, Idaho. A firm may serve people in Fruitland, the rest of Payette County, or a wider Idaho market, and those are different reporting questions. A useful dashboard should therefore make the intended service area explicit rather than treating every local signal as interchangeable. Bosseo’s public description says its dashboard can show keyword rankings, case-type leads, city information and source attribution. Before relying on any of those views, ask how a city, county, service area, searcher and matter are defined. The Census population estimate establishes the size of the city as a place; it does not establish how many people need a particular legal service or where a future client will come from.
Recommended approach
Bring a written geographic scope to the review: Fruitland city, Payette County, Idaho, and any other areas the firm intentionally serves. Ask to see how those scopes would be separated in reporting, and decide whether a location field should describe the search, the caller, the matter or the firm’s target market.
