1. Define the geography before you discuss budget
Maili is a census-designated place in Honolulu County, Hawaii. A firm may serve clients in Maili while also accepting matters elsewhere in its permitted service area. Those are different geographic questions. The Maili population estimate identifies the community; it does not establish how many people search for a lawyer, how many firms compete for those searches or how many inquiries an advertisement could produce. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads page describes category and geography targeting, including practice-area categories and service areas set deliberately. That makes geographic scope an implementation decision rather than a conclusion drawn from population.
Recommended approach
Bring a precise service-area discussion to the consultation. Separate Maili from broader Honolulu County coverage and identify which locations the firm can actually serve, subject to applicable advertising and professional-responsibility rules. Ask how each selected area will be reviewed against inquiry quality, capacity and matter fit before expanding coverage.
