1. Start with the geographic question your reports must answer
Kahului is a CDP in Maui County, not a synonym for the entire county, the island or every community your firm may serve. That distinction matters when you review attribution. A report should preserve the geographic meaning of the page, campaign or service area rather than treating every Maui County inquiry as a Kahului inquiry. The Census population estimate is useful for defining the place under discussion, but it cannot tell you how many people need legal help, which practice areas they seek or how they found a firm.
Recommended approach
Before reviewing a dashboard, decide which geographic labels your firm needs to distinguish: Kahului, other Maui County locations and any broader Hawaii service area you intentionally market. Ask how those labels will appear beside the lead journey, case type and outcome. Keep the location field descriptive rather than treating it as proof of demand.
