1. Start with the geography you actually want to serve
LaFayette and Walker County are related but not interchangeable geographic targets. A firm may want inquiries from LaFayette city, from elsewhere in Walker County, or from a broader Georgia service area. The city’s recorded population does not tell you how many people search for a lawyer or how many inquiries an LSA profile will receive. It does establish that LaFayette is a defined municipality, which makes geographic scope worth specifying rather than leaving it implicit.
Recommended approach
Before launch or revision, write down the locations the firm will accept, the locations it will not accept, and any distinction between an address, a service area and a court-related location. Review those choices against actual intake eligibility. Do not use LaFayette, Walker County, a judicial circuit and a court class as interchangeable labels.
