1. Start with Jesup’s actual service area—not a population assumption
The Census records Jesup as a municipality in Wayne County. That geographic relationship matters when you decide which callers the system should recognize as local, which office or service-area questions it should answer, and which inquiries need attorney review. It does not tell you how many people call a law firm or whether callers come from Jesup, elsewhere in Wayne County, or another Georgia location. Georgia Courts also distinguishes among cities, counties, judicial circuits and court classes in its official court-system resources. Those categories should not be treated as interchangeable in a phone script.
Recommended approach
Write down the geographic terms your firm actually uses before configuring caller guidance. Decide whether the system should discuss Jesup, Wayne County, broader Georgia service areas, or specific courts only as approved by your firm. Have an attorney review any statement that could be understood as legal advice or a claim about where the firm may practice.
