1. Define Dalton and Whitfield County separately
The Census record identifies Dalton as a municipality and places it in Whitfield County. That distinction matters when a firm chooses its LSA service area. A profile intended to serve Dalton is not automatically a profile intended to serve every part of Whitfield County, and a countywide setting should not be treated as proof that every resident is a suitable prospective client. The firm should also distinguish its approved service territory from any judicial circuit, court class or legal jurisdiction it discusses in advertising. Georgia Courts publishes official resources for citizens and legal professionals, but a city, county, judicial circuit and court class are not interchangeable.
Recommended approach
Start with a written geographic policy: the locations the firm wants to serve, the locations it can actually serve, and the inquiries it will decline. Review Dalton and any proposed Whitfield County coverage as separate decisions. Confirm all geographic and legal-service wording with the firm before publication or campaign changes.
