1. Set the geographic boundary before you interpret intake data
Buford is recorded as a municipality, and its listed county relationships are Gwinnett County and Hall County. Those geographic relationships should remain distinct in your intake reporting. A caller located in Buford is not automatically a Gwinnett County caller, a Hall County caller or a Georgia court matter. Likewise, a matter connected to either county does not establish that the caller lives in the city. Intake Coach can help your firm examine conversation content, but the firm must decide which location fields belong in its own qualification process. Do not use the Buford population estimate as a proxy for demand, competition, language needs, legal need or expected revenue.
Recommended approach
During a review, map the locations your attorneys actually serve and the locations they do not serve. Decide whether staff should ask about the caller’s residence, incident location, court location or another legally relevant place. Keep those answers separate in reporting so a Buford landing page does not blur city, county and statewide matters.
