1. Set the footprint around Brookhaven and DeKalb County
Bosseo’s public product description says a firm can choose statewide coverage or limit the footprint to selected counties. For a Brookhaven firm, the first decision is whether Brookhaven is one city in a broader DeKalb County strategy or the starting point for a larger Georgia footprint. Those are different geographic scopes. Brookhaven city, DeKalb County, a judicial circuit, and a court are not interchangeable. The Georgia Courts site publishes official court-system resources, but a city page should not imply that every matter is filed in Brookhaven or handled by one local court.
Recommended approach
Define the service area in writing before approving coverage: Brookhaven, DeKalb County, additional counties, or Georgia statewide. Separate where the firm accepts clients from where a court, agency, or legal rule applies. Use the Brookhaven population estimate only as eligibility context, not as a forecast. Ask Bosseo to show how the selected footprint would map to the firm’s actual intake boundaries.
