1. Start with the geographic boundary
The Census records Augusta-Richmond County consolidated government (balance) as a municipality and gives it a 2020–2024 ACS 5-year population estimate of 201,528, with a margin of error of 20. The recorded county relationship is Richmond County. Those are geographic and eligibility facts; they do not establish demand, competition, case volume or revenue. That distinction matters when choosing a programmatic footprint. A page for Augusta-Richmond County is not automatically interchangeable with a page for Richmond County, another Georgia municipality or a judicial circuit. Georgia Courts also cautions against treating a city, county, judicial circuit or court class as interchangeable.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to map the proposed footprint using the exact locations your firm serves. Decide whether the initial scope should be Augusta-Richmond County, Richmond County, selected additional counties or a broader Georgia area. Keep the geographic label on each page consistent with the actual service area and avoid implying an office, courthouse relationship or local presence that your firm cannot substantiate.
