1. Set the geographic boundary before requesting reviews
Americus and Sumter County are related but not interchangeable geographic descriptions. A firm may serve clients in Americus, elsewhere in Sumter County, or in additional Georgia locations. Those boundaries affect the wording of the firm’s profile, the places discussed in service pages, the matters included in review outreach and the way an inquiry is classified. A review does not need to mention a city to be genuine, and a firm should not ask a client to add location language that does not reflect the client’s own experience.
Recommended approach
Begin with a written service-area decision: Americus only, Sumter County, or a broader area the firm actually serves. Review that boundary with the attorney responsible for marketing and with the person who handles new inquiries. Measure inquiries by the location the prospective client reported, rather than treating every Georgia inquiry as an Americus lead.
