1. Start with the geography you actually serve
A local report can become misleading when it combines every nearby inquiry into one total. West Pensacola is a CDP, and the Census record associates it with Escambia County. Those are different geographic labels with different uses. A dashboard review should therefore ask whether location fields can distinguish West Pensacola from Escambia County and from other cities your firm intentionally serves. Bosseo’s published product information describes city-level decision data and lists questions such as which cities produce calls. That makes geographic separation central to the buying conversation, not a decorative filter.
Recommended approach
Ask to see how a location is recorded for a call, form or intake, what happens when a person does not disclose a location, and whether unavailable geographic data remains unavailable rather than being guessed. Do not treat the population estimate as a forecast of matters. Use it as context for defining the territory you want measured.
