1. Make location questions precise enough to guide the next step
A caller may say “Miami,” “West Little River,” or another nearby place even when the matter involves a different county, court, deadline, or service area. West Little River’s official geographic relationship in the Census record is Miami-Dade County. That fact is useful for designing a location question, but it does not tell you where every caller lives or where every matter belongs. Intake Coach can review whether staff asked a clear location question, captured the answer, and used it appropriately rather than treating a broad metro label as a complete intake record.
Recommended approach
Create a location checkpoint that separates city or community, county, and any legally relevant jurisdiction. Review calls for whether the question was asked naturally, whether the answer was confirmed, and whether an out-of-scope matter was referred or declined with a clear explanation. Do not treat a West Little River address as proof that the firm should accept the case.
