1. Separate visitor location from the market you intend to serve
A visitor’s location and your firm’s target market are different fields. Someone may view a St. Augustine service page while traveling, living elsewhere or researching for another person. Conversely, a prospective client in the broader St. Johns County area may first reach a page specifically written for St. Augustine. Lead Attribution is intended to preserve the city or product landing page, campaign and referrer while separating visitor location from the market targeted. That distinction matters when a firm reviews geographic performance. The Census record identifies St. Augustine city and its relationship to St. Johns County; it does not prove that every resident is a prospective client or that the city is the only relevant market.
Recommended approach
Before reviewing performance, document the geographic labels your firm uses: St. Augustine city, St. Johns County and any other service areas. Do not combine them into one number unless the decision being made genuinely concerns the combined market.
