1. Make location a reviewed intake fact, not an assumption
A caller may identify with South Miami, another Miami-Dade County community, or a different location altogether. Intake Coach’s service focus specifically calls for coaching on city versus county. That distinction matters because a firm may serve a broader area than South Miami city, while its intake staff still needs to record the caller’s actual location and confirm whether the matter fits the firm’s service area. The Census record identifies South Miami city as a municipality in Miami-Dade County; it does not say where legal callers originate or which matters a firm should accept.
Recommended approach
Use the coaching rubric to review whether staff clarify location when it affects jurisdiction, venue, service area, or referral handling. Decide in advance which location facts the responsible attorney considers material. Do not use the South Miami population estimate as a proxy for leads or legal need.
