1. Make location a useful intake fact
A caller may say Rotonda, another part of Charlotte County, or a location outside the firm’s service area. Intake Coach can review whether the conversation captured the relevant city and county instead of treating every local inquiry as interchangeable. The distinction matters because Rotonda CDP and Charlotte County are different geographic descriptions. The Census record identifies Rotonda as a CDP and records its county relationship as Charlotte County; it does not show where a particular caller lives or whether a matter is within the firm’s practice scope.
Recommended approach
Use coaching to check whether the intake professional asked for the caller’s location when it affects jurisdiction, venue, service area, or referral handling. Review calls for clear location capture and for a documented next step when the matter is outside the firm’s fit. Do not use the population estimate as a forecast of calls or cases.
