1. Start with the geography your intake team actually uses
New Port Richey city and Pasco County are not interchangeable labels. The Census record identifies New Port Richey as a municipality and records its county relationship as Pasco County. If your firm serves both the city and the wider county, your intake rubric should help staff capture the caller’s location rather than treating every local reference as the same service area. That can matter when the team evaluates jurisdiction, court location, referral fit, or whether the firm serves the matter at all. Intake Coach is not a geographic demand report, and the population estimate does not prove that a particular practice area is needed. The useful question is operational: does the call capture the location and other facts your attorney needs before deciding what happens next?
Recommended approach
Define the location fields and follow-up questions that responsible attorneys want reviewed. Separate New Port Richey from Pasco County in the firm’s own intake standards, and identify when a caller should be referred or declined.
