1. Use Marianna and Jackson County as separate intake questions
The U.S. Census Bureau records Marianna as a municipality in Jackson County. Its 2020–2024 ACS 5-year estimate lists 7,150 residents, with a margin of error of 23. That is a geographic fact, not evidence of legal demand, search volume, lead volume, or case value. It does provide a reason to make location clarification explicit when a caller says only “Marianna,” “Jackson County,” or another nearby place. Intake Coach’s stated angle includes coaching on city versus county, so a firm can review whether its team consistently establishes the caller’s relevant location rather than treating every geographic reference as interchangeable.
Recommended approach
Add location clarity to the firm’s intake rubric. Review whether the call identifies the caller’s location, the location relevant to the matter, and any jurisdiction or deadline that the attorney needs to assess. Keep Marianna city and Jackson County as distinct labels in internal review. Do not use the Census population figure as a forecast of matters or clients.
