1. Start with the call path, not a population assumption
the Census record identifies Hernando as a CDP in Citrus County. It does not show how many people call law firms, which practice areas generate inquiries or whether a caller prefers English or Spanish. For your firm, the useful local question is operational: which calls from people seeking help in Hernando or elsewhere in your service area currently reach voicemail, a busy line or an unavailable staff member? Map that path before deciding what the AI should do. Keep Hernando, Citrus County and any broader Florida service area separate in your routing and intake language. A caller’s location may affect jurisdiction, urgency or referral decisions, but it should not be guessed from the caller ID alone.
Recommended approach
Review a representative period of call records and mark unanswered, after-hours, overflow, existing-client and potential-new-client calls. Define which geographic facts the AI should ask for, such as the incident location, residence, court location or county, only where those facts matter to your intake decision.
