1. Define the geographic boundary before choosing stories
The Census record identifies Middletown as a Delaware municipality in New Castle County. It does not establish that every person in Middletown is a prospective client, that the firm serves all of New Castle County, or that a story elsewhere in Delaware belongs on the firm’s site. Bosseo’s public Legal News description says its monitoring is matched to a firm’s practice areas and state. That state-level scope may be useful for a firm whose service area extends beyond Middletown, but it does not replace the firm’s own decision about municipalities, counties, courts, highways, agencies or legal developments it wants to address.
Recommended approach
Set a written coverage boundary for the consultation. Separate Middletown, New Castle County, other Delaware locations and any wider service area. Ask how a story is judged relevant to that boundary, and review whether pages should name a location, describe statewide implications or avoid local framing altogether.
