1. Define Windsor coverage without treating population as demand
Your firm may serve Windsor alone, Windsor and other communities, or a wider area within Connecticut. Those are different operating choices. The available Census record identifies Windsor’s relationship to the Capitol Planning Region, but it does not establish where prospective clients search, which nearby locations Google may show, or whether a particular practice area has enough demand to justify paid leads. Bosseo’s public Local Services Ads page says its program includes practice-area categories and service areas. That makes geographic scope a decision to document rather than a conclusion to draw from population.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area policy to the consultation. Separate locations you actively want from locations you merely can serve. Then review whether the proposed categories and service zones match attorney licensure, staffing, court coverage, consultation capacity and the types of matters you accept. Keep Windsor as the explicit local reference point, while treating any broader Connecticut coverage as a separate choice.
